Namibia Participates in Africa Tourism Leadership Forum

The Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) participated in the 8th Africa Tourism Leadership Forum (ATLF) & Awards, held from 2–4 September 2026 at Meropa Casino and Entertainment World in Polokwane, South Africa. The forum brought together tourism leaders, policymakers, investors and industry stakeholders from across Africa to discuss opportunities for strengthening intra-African travel and tourism.

Namibia contributed to the high-level discussions, with NTB CEO Sebulon Chicalu participating in a session focused on collaborative leadership, public-private-community partnerships and emerging tourism markets.

The forum provided Namibia with an important platform to showcase its tourism potential, strengthen regional partnerships and engage with key African tourism stakeholders. Discussions also focused on sustainable tourism, investment, innovation, conservation, technology and the role of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) in facilitating greater intra-African tourism.

Namibia’s participation reaffirmed NTB’s commitment to strengthening regional cooperation and positioning Namibia as a competitive and sustainable tourism destination within the African market.
