Excitement Builds up as NTB prepares for WTM Africa 2024

The World Travel Market (WTM) Africa is a significant event for the travel and tourism industry, providing a platform for destinations to promote their tourism offerings, to learn the global tourism trends, experiences to a global audience of travel professionals, and enthusiasts. This event is scheduled to take place from 10-12 April 2024, at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. This year’s event promises to be a milestone in Namibia’s quest to solidify its position as a premier family holiday destination on the African continent.

Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) will showcase under the theme “Travel” and will present a chance to highlight its diverse landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and unique wildlife experiences from the vast sands of the Namib Desert to the wildlife-rich plains of Etosha National Park. Namibia offers a range of attractions for adventure seekers, nature lovers, and cultural enthusiasts alike.

The objectives of Namibia’s participation at WTM Africa 2024 include raising awareness about Namibia as a premier family holiday destination among travel industry professionals, media representatives, and potential travellers attending the event. Enhancing Namibia’s brand visibility and positioning in the. African travel market. Generating Leads and Partnerships with tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, and other travel-related businesses. Driving Tourism Growth to Namibia by attracting more visitors and increasing visitor spending. Promoting Sustainable Tourism practices and responsible travel initiatives.

In preparation for WTM Africa 2024, Namibia Tourism Board will be co-exhibiting with 15 exhibitors from the Namibia tourism industry and the focus will be on engaging in various presentation platforms, networking opportunities, and marketing strategies to attract attention and interest from visitors and fellow exhibitors. This will involve showcasing stunning imagery and providing information on travel experiences. The highlight of the exhibition will be the Happy Hour networking session on April 10th at 18:00, offering a delightful opportunity for industry professionals to forge meaningful connections amidst the enchanting ambiance of the Namibia stand Namibia’s tourism offerings.

The NTB stand DO5 is going to be quite a vibrant spot bringing a burst of Namibian hospitality and culture. Notable figures like Hon. Heather Sibungo, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Environment, Forestry, and Tourism, presenting a stand competition featuring enticing prizes such as accommodation vouchers and complimentary flight tickets. The attendees can look forward to engaging with prominent sponsorships including Naankuse Ecotourism Collection and Namibia Wildlife Resorts thereby fostering valuable partnerships and collaborations.

Joining the Namibian exhibitors’ team are both private and public entities such as Namibia Wildlife Resort, Ondili Lodge Namibia, Exclusive Reservations & Marketing, SES Travel Agency, Naankuse Ecotourism Collection, Fly Namibia, The ReDest Portfolio, Graciuos Whisp Car Rental Safari, Abenteuer Africa Safari, Nature Friends, Skeleton Coast Safaris and Daosa Africa Lodges, collectively representing the diverse facets of Namibia’s tourism industry.
