NTB Participates in Capacity Building Training

The Namibia Tourism Board (NTB), in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism (MEFT), is currently participating in an ongoing multi-day training programme aimed at strengthening tourism knowledge, community engagement, and youth participation in the sector.

The training, which brings together stakeholders from various regions, focuses on enhancing understanding of tourism systems, governance, and opportunities within the Kavango Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA TFCA). Over the course of the programme, participants are engaging in interactive sessions covering key topics such as community-based natural resource management, tourism as an economic driver, and pathways for youth involvement in tourism development.

NTB’s participation underscores its commitment to building capacity at grassroots level and empowering communities with the knowledge and tools needed to actively contribute to Namibia’s tourism growth. The sessions also provide a platform for knowledge-sharing, practical learning, and identifying sustainable tourism opportunities.

Speaking on the importance of the initiative, NTB highlighted that continuous training and stakeholder engagement are critical to ensuring inclusive growth and strengthening Namibia’s position as a leading tourism destination.

The programme will continue over the coming days, with a strong focus on practical application, entrepreneurship, and collaborative approaches to tourism development.
